About the Role
GoAgile Technologies is looking for an experienced Go Developer to join our engineering team. We are looking for someone who can build reliable, scalable backend services and APIs using Golang, while working closely with databases, infrastructure, and other engineering teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Go and a good understanding of backend development, API design, databases, Linux, and production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Golang.
- Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready Go code.
- Work with databases such as MongoDB and MS SQL/PostgreSQL.
- Develop and integrate third-party and internal APIs.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
- Work with Linux-based environments and production deployments.
- Implement proper error handling, logging, validation, and security practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards.
- Monitor and resolve issues in production environments.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in Golang development.
- Strong understanding of Go fundamentals, concurrency, goroutines, channels, and error handling.
- Experience building REST APIs and backend services.
- Good understanding of database concepts, queries, indexing, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and/or SQL databases.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with Git and standard software development practices.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and secure coding practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and work in a production environment.
Good to Have
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with RabbitMQ or other messaging systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience working with high-volume or transaction-heavy systems.
