AI consulting and strategy in Saudi Arabia: find where AI pays off, then govern it
GoAgile helps enterprises decide where AI will genuinely move the needle, set the governance and data rules around it, and build a roadmap from pilot to production. The advice comes from a team that also builds and runs AI systems.
- Readiness assessment and use-case prioritisation

What it is
What is AI consulting and strategy?
AI consulting helps an organisation decide where to use AI, in what order, on what data and under what rules. A good engagement ends with a short list of use cases ranked by value and risk, a governance model, a view on data and infrastructure, and a roadmap that your leadership can fund and track.
Most failed AI projects fail before the technology: the problem was vague, the data was not ready, nobody owned the result, or the rules for privacy and risk were missing. Strategy work fixes those first, so pilots are chosen well and can reach production.
Because GoAgile also builds agents, RAG systems, models and automation, our recommendations are tested against what is practical. We will tell you when AI is not the right tool, and when a simple automation will do.

What we advise on
From first idea to a funded roadmap
Six workstreams. Use them together or pick the one you need now.
Know how ready you are before you spend
We assess data, systems, skills, security and sponsorship, and show where the gaps are and what to fix first.
- Data availability and quality
- Systems and integration readiness
- Skills and operating model
- Security and compliance posture
- Executive sponsorship and ownership
- A scored readiness report
What you get
An honest picture of where you stand, and the cost of closing the gaps.
Find the use cases worth doing
Workshops with business owners surface ideas. We score them on value, feasibility, data and risk, and recommend a short list with a clear first pilot.
- Workshops with business and IT
- Value and effort scoring
- Data and risk screening
- Quick wins and longer bets
- A recommended first pilot
- Business case and measures
What you get
A ranked list you can defend to your board.
A roadmap you can fund and track
A sequenced plan covering use cases, platforms, build or buy, skills, budget and milestones, with owners and measures for each step.
- Target AI operating model
- Build, buy or partner decisions
- Platform and vendor selection
- Skills and hiring plan
- Budget and phasing
- Milestones and KPIs
What you get
A plan with costs, owners and dates.
AI governance and responsible AI
Policy, roles and processes that let you use AI confidently: who approves a use case, how risk is rated, what must be logged and when a person must decide. We align the approach with SDAIA's AI Ethics Principles and the PDPL.
- AI policy and acceptable use
- Roles: owner, reviewer and approver
- Risk rating and approval process
- AI register and model records
- Incident and complaint handling
- Staff guidance and training
What you get
Rules people can follow and auditors can check.
Decide where data and models live
Data classification, residency and hosting choices are made early. We compare cloud, private cloud and on-premises for your workloads, including GPU needs and cost.
- Data classification and mapping
- Residency and hosting decision
- Cloud versus on-premises cost comparison
- GPU and capacity planning
- Security architecture
- Data quality improvement plan
What you get
An infrastructure choice that fits your data rules and your budget.
Make the first pilot count
We define the pilot, the guardrails and the measures up front, support delivery, and plan the path to production so a pilot does not stall.
- Pilot scope and success measures
- Guardrails and approvals
- Evaluation with real cases
- Go or no-go criteria
- Production hardening plan
- Hand-over and support model
What you get
A pilot that proves value and has a route to scale.
How we work
A short, structured engagement
A first AI strategy usually takes a few weeks and ends with decisions, not a slide deck.
- 1
Listen
Interviews with business, IT, security and risk to understand goals, constraints and past attempts.
- 2
Assess
Readiness of data, systems, skills and governance, scored and explained.
- 3
Prioritise
Use cases scored and ranked, with a recommended first pilot.
- 4
Design
Governance model, data and infrastructure approach, and operating model.
- 5
Plan
A costed roadmap with owners, milestones and measures.
- 6
Present
A working session with leadership to agree decisions and next steps.

How we prioritise use cases and apply SDAIA's principles
Two tools we use in almost every engagement.
How we score a use case
| Criterion | The question we ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Business value | What does it save or earn, and who benefits? | Value pays for the programme |
| Feasibility | Is the technique proven for this problem? | Avoids research projects |
| Data readiness | Do we have enough clean, accessible data? | Data is the usual blocker |
| Risk | What happens if the AI is wrong, biased or leaks data? | Sets the controls needed |
| Adoption | Will the people involved use it, and who owns it? | Unused AI has no value |
| Cost and time | What does it cost to build, run and support? | Keeps the roadmap realistic |
SDAIA's AI Ethics Principles in practice
| Principle | What it means for your AI |
|---|---|
| Fairness | Test for bias and treat similar cases alike |
| Privacy and security | Protect personal data and secure the system |
| Humanity | Keep people in control of decisions that affect them |
| Social and environmental benefits | Consider wider impact, including energy use |
| Reliability and safety | Test, monitor and limit what the system can do |
| Transparency and explainability | Show how results were reached, with sources |
| Accountability and responsibility | Name an owner and keep an audit trail |
SDAIA published its AI Ethics Principles in September 2023 and issued generative AI guidelines in January 2024. We map your AI use to them, and your legal counsel confirms how they apply to you.

Built for Saudi enterprises
Strategy that fits Saudi rules and Saudi realities
Local data, governance and guardrails are part of the strategy, not an afterthought.
Data residency decided early
We classify your data and decide what may go to a cloud model, what must stay in the Kingdom and what must stay on your own servers, taking the PDPL and sector rules into account.
- Data classification
- Residency decision by data type
- Cross-border transfer review
- Hosting options and cost
- Vendor and contract checks
- Retention and deletion rules
What you get
Clear rules on what data AI may touch, and where.
Rules and owners that scale
An AI policy, an approval process and a register give every use case an owner and a risk rating, so AI use grows without losing control.
- AI policy and acceptable use
- Approval board and process
- Risk ratings and controls
- AI register
- Audit and review cycle
- Alignment with SDAIA, NCA and SAMA expectations where relevant

We set the technical guardrails every AI system must meet: input and output filters, access limits, human approval for risky actions, logging and testing.
- Minimum guardrail standard
- Human approval thresholds
- Personal data handling rules
- Prompt-injection testing
- Logging and retention standards
- Evaluation before release
What you get
A standard your teams and suppliers can build to.
